St John XXIII Parish commemorates and celebrates the different liturgical seasons. We organize the Advent Dinner every first Friday of Advent, the Interreligious Service with the help of the Permanent Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations Office, the annual Parish Retreat in autumn and several religious plays during Lent like the Passion Play and Living Stations of the Cross.
Early in the season of Advent a special community dinner is organised to celebrate the preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ at Christmas.
The Parish Retreat is normally done during October. All parishioners are invited to a day of recollection and sharing. A guest speaker is invited to bring light to the retreat.
Passion Plays are an ancient tradition of the Church and, during Holy Week of this year our Parish presented the first "The Passion of Christ".
The Living Stations of the Cross attempts to relive the events of Jesus’ passion and death. It is joined by many of the choirs here at John XXIII, as well as a number of parishioners and children.
