priest_welcome Welcome

A warm welcome to our new Assistant Pastor, Fr. Paul Charles Friel, from the Archdiocese of Glasgow, Scotland, who will be arriving shortly after Easter!

We’ve been awaiting Fr. Paul and have been praying for his arrival for quite some time now! However, since many parishioners are away either for the Easter holidays or the canonization trip to Rome, we will officially welcome Fr. Paul on May 4 (Sun). Fr. Paul is looking forward to meeting parishioners after all our Masses. Please bring something to share over coffee.

general_assembly General Assembly

This year, our parish General assembly will take place on Pentecost Sunday, June 8, from 13:00-15:00 in the Main Hall. Representatives of each household in the Parish are encouraged to attend the meeting. Therefore why not make it a family affair? While mom or dad attends the GA, the rest of the family can picnic in the park behind the Church!

    pope_john_paul Towards April 27

In preparation for the canonization of Parish’s patron, it is fit to recall the good nature of this wonderfully human Pope.

He was elected at the conclave (the convening of all Roman Catholic cardinals) in 1958 at the age of 77. Security was not a major issue back then, and the good Pope liked to get out of the Vatican and often strolled the streets of Rome. He was a huge man, and on one occasion overheard a woman commenting on how large in size the Pope was. He turned to her and said, “Madame, you must know that the conclave is not exactly a beauty contest!”

risen“Risen, as he said he would.”  (Mt. 28:6)

At Easter, we celebrate the greatest feast of the Christian calendar. The Resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith and the most extraordinary happening in human history. For Christians there’s not a day that compares with Easter Sunday. This truly is the day of the Lord! All our hopes and happiness stem from what happened that first Easter morning.
