we will be finalizing the selection of subcontractors. We
plan to open the work site and begin construction in late
August.

The theme for this year's Week of Prayer for Christian Unity was prepared by representatives of the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church and Old Catholic and Protestant Churches active in Poland.
The history of this country, marked by a series of defeats and victories, has led the ecumenical group who have prepared this year's material to reflect more deeply on what it means to "win" and to "lose",
especially given the way in which the language of "victory" is so often understood in triumphalist terms. Yet Christ shows us a very different way!
"We will all be changed by the Victory of our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Cor 15:51-58)
Here in Geneva, in the spirit of Christian Unity, the Rassemblement des Eglises et Communeautes Chretiennes will hold an ecumenical celebration on Jan 18 (Wed) at
19:00 in the chapel of the Ecumenical Centre, Rte. de Ferney 150, Grand-Saconnex.
Pastor Chrian van den Heuvel of the Protestant Church of Geneva and former president of the RECG will preach. Please note this date in your diary.

Calling all amateur cooks, expert chefs, young, and old. A recipe book is in the making!

In order to ease the daily basic needs of the
homeless in our community, the Parish provides a bag of
provisions to those who ask.
Parishioners' contributions to the "Food
Pantry" would be greatly
appreciated.
Keep in mind that the
recipients of the pantry are
homeless, so they have no means to
cook food. Canned or packaged foods
that do not need to be cooked are ideal.
Contributions to the "Food Pantry" may be placed in
the basket at the centre entrance, or dropped off at
the Parish Office during office hours.
Soup Kitchen
Many
thanks to those who support the soup kitchen.
"I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty
and you gave me drink." (Mt. 25:35)
